Application
UNI-ASTEX priming emulsion is used for priming porous and absorbent concrete substrates, gypsum boards, gypsum boards, cement boards and aerated concrete, gypsum plasters, cement plasters, cement-lime plastics etc. UNI-ASTEX can also be used under paints, plasters, glues, screeds and under leveling coatings and putties. The emulsion improves the adhesion of terracotta and glaze adhesive, and thanks to the high penetration ability penetrates deep into even old and dry substrates, strengthening them and protecting against moisture. It prevents the formation of bubbles and the rapid release of water into the ground.
Properties
The UNI-ASTEX emulsion increases the adhesion to the surface, regulates the absorbency process of the substrate, does not saponify, lets water vapor pass, is suitable for use on dry substrates. After drying, it is transparent and non-flammable. Suitable for floors and walls, inside and outside the building, protects against the harmful effects of moisture.
Substrate preparation
The substrate should be sufficiently strong, even, dry, clean from dust, dirt, lime, oils, grease, wax, remains of chalk, lime, oil and emulsion paint. Larger uneven surfaces should be corrected using leveling mortar. Thoroughly dry the substrate with significant humidity before starting work. Do not work on frozen surfaces.
Application method
On prepared and matured substrate (the maturing time of the substrate depends on the materials used) should be spread exactly on the entire Uni-Astex surface. Do not apply the emulsion at temperatures below + 10 ° C. After approx. 24-48 hours. from the moment the emulsion is applied, the substrate is ready. Adequate drying conditions must be ensured (temperature above + 10 ° C for a period of not less than 24-48 hours).
Expenditure
The average consumption of the priming emulsion depends on the absorbency of the substrate and is: 1 L = 7 to 8 m², 5 L = 35 to 40 m².
Storage and transport
Store in dry, darkened rooms, in original, undamaged and unopened packaging. Protect against overheating and sunlight (max temp + 25 ° C) and frost (min temp + 5 ° C). Any visible changes in the structure of the product or packaging that are visible without specialized tests, in particular discoloration or smudging of the packaging graphics, infringements of the continuity of the packaging, biological changes in the structure of the product, identifiable in particular as a consequence of insolation or freezing, may indicate poor storage or transport conditions and do not guarantee compliance with the declared performance of products in accordance with the specifications. The period of product validity and storage in conditions complying with the recommendations given is up to 12 months from the date of manufacture placed on the packaging in digital print.
Precautions
May cause an allergic skin reaction. Contains: post-reaction mixture of 5-chloro-2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-onu and 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-onu (3: 1). Irritating product. Appropriate eye, respiratory and skin protection should be used. Keep away from children. Do not breathe in. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show the packaging, label or MSDS.
